So what is “Partition” all about? If you ask me, I’d say it’s nothing but a girl fantasy of how her man would rip her apart while having crazy sex at the back of a car. Matching with the environment, Beyonce has selected some erotic dresses, a vintage set of lingerie, and a stunning hot corset. We see a brief moment of Jay Z in the opening and later Beyonce confirmed the video is actually dedicated to Z. The director Jake Nava made maybe the most luxurious dream of a woman with scenes from the famous Château de Ferrières. The critics gave mostly positive reviews with a slight criticism of the extravagance.
